Stephen Shepard

Senior Associate Attorney

Stephen Shepard is a dedicated, experienced, and highly accomplished trial attorney whose professional career is in litigation, court processes, and the resolution of disputes involving transfers of private real estate and personal property from one generation to the next.

He has also conducted multiple jury trials and numerous court-adjudicated matters concerning real estate, landlord representation, and evictions, and has served as an adjunct law professor for 12 years at Trinity Law School in Santa Ana, California where he taught legal research and writing, contracts, remedies, and wills, trusts, and estates.

In addition to teaching law students, Stephen also developed curriculum for Trinity, wrote tests, served as a judge for Moot Court, advised students on their academic strategies, and collaborated with peers and supervisors regarding the development of future classroom curriculum, testing, and grading.

Among the many countless past cases he’s handled, one to note in particular includes a case where an appellate decision was found in Stephen’s favor in Torres v. Torres (2006) 135 Cal.App.4th 870 in which the established rule that persons may signify their signature by using a mark of “X” was affirmed after the trial verdict was reached.

Stephen earned his law degree which included honors in Moot Court from Western State University’s School of Law in Fullerton, California, and his undergraduate degree in Political Science at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

While Stephen always puts the interests and goals of his clients first, when he’s not busy working on cases, you will find him paddling around the incoming Southern California wave sets enjoying his time surfing at the Huntington Beach Pier, or otherwise traveling out to Palm Springs to spend a few hours relaxing at one of the many idyllic and picturesque golf courses.
